Grandma's Corn Starch Pudding

This was great, but way too sweet (for me)! It would work fine with 1/2 cup sugar. Nice and smooth, and works with soy milk also
A little lemon juice and some grated lemon zest stirred in at the last minute, and served over sliced bananas made the vegan in the family very happy.

My grandma used to make this all the time for me and my brother when we were little kids, I know she never added salt, and I honestly don't think she added vanilla! We loved it. :)

When the cupboards were bare my gramma who lived with us would make this and serve with vanilla milk and toast and we had a feast.

Mom used to make this when I was a kid. We ate it spooned over the top of ham and green beans. Guess that's how she got us to eat green beans.

I used Sugar Twin instead of real sugar and it was great! I also added coconut.

Actually if there was a 0 that's what I would really like to rate it! I couldn't find my Mother's recipe, so I trusted this one. It wouldn't thicken! Then I found my Mother's recipe! This one has way too much sugar! It should be 1/3 cup of sugar!

My grandma made this when I was a kid. She called it pappy soup. We ate it with fresh out of the oven homemade bread and real butter.

This recipe on the top was all foam and the bottom was liquidy.
I cooked it on a lower flame and kept stirring so as to not let it scorch on the bottom. It just kept rising and the foam went all over the stove. Don't know what I did wrong. Very disappointed. Any suggestions?

You probably put baking soda in it. Thats what I did. It kept growing and made a mess.

Probably put baking soda in it. Mine did the same thing. I grabbed the wrong container. Made a mess. Also sugar was too much. 1/3 cup is plenty.
