KEY LIME PIE
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks (whites not used)
1/2 cup Key West lime juice (I use Nellie & Joe's)
1 (9-inch) graham cracker pie shell

Combine milk, egg yolks and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Pour filling into prepared pie shell and bake at 350°F degrees for 15 minutes.

Allow to stand 10 minutes before refrigerating. Just before serving, top with freshly whipped cream and garnish with lime slices.

Most grocery stores carry this. I use 1 cup, not 1/2 cup.

I used 1 cup key lime juice and it was sour. I would stick to the 1/2 cup. Also for my taste I used 1/2 cup of sugar and it was perfect.

I have used the realtime 100% Lime Juice and it works fine, just make sure you only use the 1/2 cup.

This particular Key Lime Pie recipe is on the label of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk. Use egg whites for meringue, sealing edges before putting back into oven at 350°F, 15 minutes. The pie is usually baked at 325°F, 25 minutes. Realtime lime juice works, or try squeezing fresh limes it's even more tasty. Enjoy.

This was sooo yummy! So easy to make and tasted great! If you need it to cool faster just stick in the freezer for a while, it takes a while in the fridge because even after ten minutes it is still hot from the oven...

 Janis (United States) says:
I've made this recipe for over 30 years with either lime or lemon juice. If you use the pasturized eggs, you do not have to bake the pie. That's what I do, but I do use the egg whites for the meringue & bake that.
