MARINATED LONDON BROIL 
2 1/2 lbs. London Broil
5 cloves garlic, chopped
2 c. soy sauce
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. duck sauce
1 to 2 tsp. fresh ground cloves
2 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion
6 to 8 oz. mushrooms
3 tsp. fresh ground ginger

Tenderize London Broil by poking each side with fork. Insert pieces of chopped garlic into slits made with knife covering areas of entire length, both sides. Place in baking dish. Add soy sauce, lemon juice, vinegar and duck sauce. Add mushrooms and onions, butter. Grind cloves over each side of meat. Do same with ginger.

Cover with foil and refrigerate 4 to 5 hours. Marinade should be very thick. For grill: Wrap meat in double piece of foil, pour on marinade and seal tightly. Barbecue 15 minutes on each side. For oven: Prepare same. Cook for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Slice thin and serve with potatoes, rice or noodles.
