Try adding a couple of teaspoons of finely chopped onion and a little garlic powder..Mmmm

I have been making this salad for over 30 years and I offer this as a side in my catering. I add minced onion.

I offer these suggestion:

Mix sour cream, miracle whip and minced onion then chill. When you are ready to serve pour boiling water over frozen peas and drain. Mix the sauce and peas. If making a quantity larger than will be consumed. Measure out will be served and mix in Red skin peanuts. Mixing in peanuts to early or storing mixed will cause the peanuts to turn soft. The soft peanuts take on a different flavor that is significantly different than a fresh batch.
