SWEET YEAST ROLLS 
2 c. hot water
2 pkgs. active dry yeast
2 tsp. salt
1/2 - 3/4 c. sugar
5-6 c. flour
2 eggs
1/4 c. shortening

Dissolve yeast in hot water. Add salt and sugar and 3 cups of the flour to the liquid. Beat for 2 minutes. Add eggs and shortening and beat just until they are mixed in well.

Stir in remainder of flour. (Enough flour should be added so that the dough pulls away from side of the bowl.) Pour dough on floured surface and knead until most of stickiness is gone.

Pat out dough to about 3/4" thick.

Cut and place in greased pan with rolls touching. Let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.

Bake at 375°F for 12 to 14 minutes. Brush.
