Great recipe for large numbers! Cooked it for a wildlife dinner at our church and it was a hit! Split the mixture and added jalapenos to part for a spicy version.

Just made this for 130 homeless at a city shelter. Up'd the recipe to 150 servings and had a lot left over so they will have lunch tomorrow. Served over rice with cheese. Also with corn bread and peach crisp. Got RAVES! One three year old had seconds and told me it was the best thing she ever ate! I did forget the sugar and there were no chili beans in my area so I used pink beans instead, it tasted great anyway. Would definitely make this again.

Use this recipe EVERYTIME! I do add a couple more spices when wanted but a perfect spice and flavor either way.

Halved the recipe & made this for New Years eve. It was awesome!!! Didn't have a Dutch oven, so I cooked everything in a huge pot, brought it to a boil and divided it between 3 buffet full pans (I didn't realize it would make that much). Covered the pans with foil and placed the pans in the oven @ 200°F for 2 hours. Because I had 3 pans, I was able to drop one off at 3 separate events. It was the talk of the night!

I made this for 85 people for church last night and it was a HUGE hit! Of course I added extra spices. I was able to get this prepared and into roasters (took 3) in only 3 hrs! I just made in batches. It simmered all day on the slow cook setting. We had PLENTY left over... maybe 4-5 gallons, but we also served grilled cheeses, corn bread, crackers, salad and banana pudding along side of the chili beans. We placed the leftovers in empty ice cream tubs to freeze later for a potato bar next month. My team was so grateful I found this recipe. 5 stars!!

I own a hotdog cart and catering business. I used this recipe for a construction job, to serve in addition to Bratwursts. The chili was a HUGE hit, almost all 103 people came back for seconds. I just wanted to chime in and say this exact recipe fed 103 guys on a construction job, 2 servings, and I took 2 storage bowls home and left 1 huge storage bowl with them, I've chopped the recipe down, and make this for my wife and kids now. Thanks for sharing, if your reading this, you have to try!!
