| 1-2-3 PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES | |

1/2 cup SMOOTH peanut-butter 1/8 cup Crisco shortening 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup boiling water 1 cup Bisquick Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix peanut butter, shortening, sugar and water mix until completely blended. Next, stir in the Bisquick. Make little balls and flatten them with a fork dipped in Bisquick. Bake for 8 to ten minutes. I substituted coconut oil for the shortening so I ended up adding about half a cup more of Bisquick to firm up the dough. Nice light peanut flavor and baked in 7 minutes. I'll make this one again!

Fairly good peanut butter taste. Turned oven down to 375°F for second batch so that cookies browned more evenly. Cooked for 7 minutes. Made 20 cookies. OK recipe, but I've tasted better. I miss the brown sugar taste.
