Easy Baked Pork Chops

 Tina May (Nebraska) says:
I had 4 very thick chops, followed the recipe and my pork chops never got done, pink in the middle even an hour longer. I usually brown my chops before putting them in any casserole. Just a suggestion and not to use thick chops.

Wanted to do BBQ pork chops but was out of sauce. Found this recipe and had the ingredients, so tried it. I really enjoyed it. Quick and easy.

I made this... I added a can of mushrooms and a chopped onion and used milk instead of water... it was so scrumptious... my pork chops must have been real thick because I cooked mine for an hour covered and 20 mins uncovered before they were just right.

I put minute rice under the chops and that eliminates the watery gravy. Plus makes it a one pot dish!

I have been making this since I first moved on my own. Was the first dish I cooked for company. I have NEVER used milk or water. 1 can mushroom soup, 1lb mushrooms sliced. The mushrooms make juice for the gravy and dilute the soup for gravy

I wonder if adding rice to the recipe would help with the thickness of the gravy

I loved this recipe although I did it a bit differently. I seared the chops in salt and pepper first then baked them in the cream of mushroom soup, a packet of onion mushroom soup and a can of french onion soup with half a can of milk. It was really good and made a delicious gravy for mashed potatoes too :)

Great idea. Due to what i had available, I used onion chip dip powdered mix instead of soup mix. Also didn't have tinfoil. Turned out great, a little crispness on top and soft and juicy in the middle.

Very easy and very tasty. Gravy came out too thin, though. Next time I'll try just 1/2 can of water (or less).

Mine did not make gravy/sauce. The flavor of the mushroom soup and onion soup was good.

We made this with cream of chicken and it was so good! The best part may be the gravy! It may be our new "go to" week night meal!

I used to make this years ago with chuck steak
