BAKED PORK CHOPS AND APPLES 
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
6 (1 inch thick) pork chops
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 c. water
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. ground cloves

Melt butter in large skillet; add onion and saute until tender. Remove onion and set aside. Brown pork chops on both sides in butter; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Arrange chops in a 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Cover with apple slices; sprinkle with onion. Combine remaining ingredients, and pour over chops. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for about 1 hour.
