LAZY STUFFED CABBAGE CASSEROLE
2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. Minute Rice (uncooked)
1 pkg. onion soup mix
3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 lbs. coarsely chopped cabbage

Brown beef and drain fat. Mix in rice and soup mix. Lay over cabbage in a 9x13 pan. Add 1 can of water to sauce and pour over cabbage and meat mixture. Cover with foil and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.

Note: I mixed the cabbage, meat and sauce together, then put in the pan. The sauce gets mixed in better.

I went to other sites and they added vinegar and other things that I don't normally put in.. I tried this recipe because it has everything I use for the rolled "pigs in blanket". It tasted just like when my Nana used to make it for me.. Very good and will do this again. Thanks!

This is so easy to make and tastes delicious. I also mix the cabbage w the meat and sauce, but I put in 32 ounces of tomato sauce instead of only 24. I think it tastes a little better and doesn't seem as dry.

Made this today. I also added a fourth 8 ounce can of tomato sauce, and it turned out really good.

I've made this several times & it's so DELICIOUS :) My husband loves it, I even made it for my mother-in-law and she loved it but instead of using tomato soup, cuz it's kind of sweet, I boil the core of the cabbage and make a gravy out of it and pour that over cabbage and then sprinkle it with bread crumbs (Panko). Try it, u won't be disappointed. It's very delicious...
