GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE FROSTING 
1 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
1 c. pecans, chopped or almonds
1 tsp. vanilla

In medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter and eggs. Cook over medium heat, until mixture starts to bubble, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients. Stir until of spreading consistency.

Tasty frosting - only be careful: your eggs need to be well beaten or you'll have specks of scrambled eggs in the finished product. Also - I was looking for the caramel flavor and color - so I added a 1/2 cup of brown sugar and cooked a few minutes longer... then it was perfection!!
