LAWRENCE'S SALISBURY STEAK | |
2 lb. ground beef 1 large onion, chopped fine 2 large eggs 2 slices bread (dried out) or use crackers 4 garlic cloves, chopped fine red chili powder, to taste (I use about a tsp. or two) salt, to taste black pepper, to taste 2 cans cream of mushrooms soup (I prefer cream of celery) vegetable oil (sometimes I use grapeseed oil) Combine in a bowl: hamburger; onion; eggs; bread or crackers; garlic; chili powder; salt and pepper. Make hamburger patties about 1-inch thick and fry them on high to brown them. Then turn the heat to low and add soups. Add extra onions or mushrooms or celery if desired. Cover and cook for approximately 1 1/2 hours. After they are done, you can spoon out the excess grease with a spoon. Submitted by: Lawrence R. Case |
