STOVE TOP COUNTRY STYLE RIBS | |
The sauce this recipe makes can be served over mashed potatoes. 3 to 4 lb. country style ribs (boneless) 1/2 (2 liter) bottle regular cola (I use Pepsi) 1 (20 oz.) bottle ketchup (Hunts) In a large soup pot, combine equal amounts of cola and ketchup, mix well. Add the ribs and make sure ribs are almost covered with the mixture. Cover leaving a small opening for steam to escape. Cook on medium heat for 3 to 4 hours, stirring frequently until meat is falling apart. Mix will boil down to a very deep red color and turns into a fantastic tasty barbecue sauce. Note: For a thicker sauce add more ketchup, for thinner sauce add more cola. I don't add any spices to this dish since the cola and ketchup add all the flavor you need. Submitted by: Vik |
