BARBECUED RIBS WITH KRAUT | |
1 lg. or 2 sm. sides of spareribs 1/2 tsp. salt Dash of pepper 1 can sauerkraut, drained 1 tsp. dry mustard 3 tsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. paprika 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 can condensed tomato soup 1/4 c. vinegar or lemon juice Wipe spareribs with a damp cloth, rub with salt and pepper. Place sauerkraut on half the ribs, fold over other half. Combine remaining ingredients and add. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 1 3/4 hours or until brown and tender. Baste with sauce occasionally. Serves 4. 306 calories per serving. |
