CARAMEL BARS | |
2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 c. oatmeal 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. butter (soft) 1 c. milk chocolate chips 50 caramels (1 sm. pkg.) 1/2 c. evaporated milk (5 oz. can) Mix first 6 ingredients. Pat 1/2 in 9x13 pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels and evaporated milk over low heat. Take dry mixture out of oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Pour caramel mixture over the chips, then sprinkle/pat the remaining oatmeal mixture on top. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. |
