CUBE STEAK CASSEROLE 
6 pieces of cube steak
6 med. potatoes (sliced)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 lg. onion (chopped)
4 carrots (sliced)
1 stick butter

In a large Pyrex dish, layer cube steak on the bottom. Place onions, carrots and potatoes on top of steak. Salt and pepper to taste. Heat soup with butter and pour over the steak dish. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.

This is baking in the oven right now and it smells terrific. I used Progresso creamy mushroom gluten free soup and omitted the onion and sprinkled the steak with onion powder instead as we are not big onion fans. I have to say, I LOVE this website! The recipes are easy to follow and have good, simple ingredients; not anything super fancy or pretentious, just wonderful, wholesome good food! I always find something that appeals to my teenage son and I every time I do a search. Keep up the good work, I know a lot of work goes into maintaining this site!!

My mother made this casserole in the 50's and I made it for my kids in the 70's and found it here after all these yrs. Nice winter dish
