I must say this pie turned out great. I got the recipe online, because my past pies never turned out. This pie has very little ingredients and taste SUPERB. The only difference is I used 2 tsp. vanilla and 5 eggs because they were a little on the small side. What a wonderful sweet potato pie. Thanks!

I had never made sweet potato pie before, but I got some insight from a friend and combined it with this recipe. I added 1 can of eagle brand sweetened condensed milk and reduced the sugar to 3/4 c. I also used less cinnamon. Baking time was just right! It was excellent!!

I was looking for a simple sweet potato pie recipe with minimal ingredients. This pie was SUPERB!! A hit with the family on Thanksgiving day. Making two more for Mom right now. I used 5 sweet potatoes instead of 4, perfect! Thank you

My boyfriend's grandma prepares sweet potato pie almost every Sunday but it is not as good as my grandma's sweet potato pie. So I decided to learn to make one myself. This was the only recipe I could find where I had all of the ingredients. So I made 2 pies (with the given ingredients it was enough to make 2 in the deep dish pie crust), well it was great. My boyfriend and I ate all but 1 slice of the first pie in about 30 minutes. The only thing I recommend is to let it cool down because the first slices didn't want to stay in the pie crust (maybe I didn't bake it long enough, it was my first time making any kind of pie, but I did bake it for a total of 50 min), after it cooled down it was good to go. This recipe will be bookmarked on my computer. I asked my boyfriend how was it compared to our grandmas' pies, he said it was better than both.

Great recipe, nice and easy. I made a couple adjustments. I used nearly half the sugar (1 cup) and added some nutmeg. My wife's grandmother said it was the best pie she ever had. Pretty good since that means 90 years of pie eating experience.

I absolutely love this pie. Light and delicious and easy to make. I may also try using graham cracker crust as one I had at a festival recently.

I have never knew I liked sweet potato pie until I tried this recipe! Now I know what its supposed to really taste like and can understand why my husband loves it. This is just as good as pumpkin pie if not better and has made my husband very happy since I will now make this for him quite often! Thanks so much for the recipe!!

I used to buy sweet potato pies and tamales from women that came into our store... they (pies) didn't have all those spices a pumpkin pie has and were the bomb!! If I wanted pumpkin pie, I'd make that. Her pies allowed the flavor of the sweet potatoes to be front & center. This recipe may come close. Only I think she might have used evaporated milk also. Can't wait to try this recipe!
