Combine first 6 ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside 1/2 c. of flour mixture. Combine pecans, pineapple, cherries and dates. Mix well. Dredge fruit with the 1/2 c. of flour mixture. Cream butter in a large bowl gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Add dry ingredients alternately with the juice and milk. Stir in fruit mixture. Drop dough by level teaspoonfuls on to greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until golden brown, cool on wire rack.

This recipe is awesome. It doesn't matter if you like fruit cake or not. They are perfect size and this recipe does make 4 dozen. They have a good shelf life but they also freeze well. You want to get the individual candied fruits. Do not get the fruit cake mix.
