KASHA VARNISHKES 
1 c. kasha (med. buckwheat groats)
2 lg. onions, chopped
1 (8 oz.) pkg. bow tie noodles
2 tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper to taste

Cook kasha according to directions on box. Saute onions in butter until light brown. Cook bow ties in rapidly boiling water, salt if desired until tender Drain in colander. Mix together kasha, onions and butter, bow ties and salt and pepper to taste. (Can be served right away or kept in refrigerator and reheated later in a 350 degree oven.)
