We usually do a pound of bacon with a large head of cabbage. Never tried the garlic powder in it but it would be very good. Love fried cabbage. It also works well with Brussels sprouts.

This was very good. I even tried it with sausage, it was to die for. Really good.

I have substituted salt pork for the bacon, deleted the garlic. When the cabbage is almost done I put in 2 cans of whole white potatoes (drained) and continue to cook until done.

I put onion in my fried cabbage and some dried cherries. So good along with bacon!

I always add chopped onion... Last 30 minutes of cooking time - I add 1 tablespoon sugar and 2 tablespoons cider vinegar. This doubles the flavor of everything. If you are unsure about trying this... add the sugar and vinegar a little at a time. You will ALWAYS add these, once you have tried it.

Good, simple and easy. I used half a head of leftover cabbage, quarter of an onion and two slices of bacon. Enough for two servings.
