How far in advance can I make jello shots?? I'm having a party Saturday and am ancy to get stuff done today, will they be OK by Saturday night if I make them today!? I appreciate the help and input! Thanks

 Lee (Maryland) replies:
Jessica, I'd make them 4 or 5 hours before the party. Just enough time to chill. Alcohol evaporates over time and who wants evaporated jello shots!

 Andy (Rhode Island) replies:
Jell-o shots don't evaporate once they're formed. Being in gelatin form bonds it together.

Today I made "mocha" jello shots, they are so good using chocolate milk, coffee liqueur and alcohol infused whipped cream on top!

I am wanting to make jello shots today for Saturday afternoon (would be about 2 days out). I usually make them 24 hours in advance, but have a lot of other things to make on Friday also. Will they turn out ok?
 #102270
 Leslie (Nunavut) replies:
Sam, I'd just cover them with cling-film and put them in the fridge. Enjoy your jello shots!

 Josie (Wyoming) says:
This is wonderful with "whipped cream" flavored vodka, and a "key lime whipped cream" flavored vodka! I used the KLV with lime flavored jello and the WC with strawberry, and berry mix jello! I made a total of 100 for a weekend camping trip with about 10 friends... We didn't bring any home!

I have a party at 9pm Friday. Is it safe to make Jello shots tonight and cover them with tops?
 #132254
 Alice (Manitoba) replies:
Mississippi, yes, just put them in the fridge. If you use the tops it means you can stack them too! (and fit more in).

Love this recipe! I love to buy chocolate dessert cups and set the jello shot in it. Super yummy! I can usually find them in grocery stores or world market around the holidays. Really yummy with cherry jello!
