CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRY CAKE 
This cake is moist and delicious!

1 box dark chocolate cake mix (your favorite)
1 (20 oz.) can cherry pie filling (Comstock)
1 tub dark chocolate frosting
1 jar maraschino cherries
confectioners' sugar (adjust as needed)

Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Fold in cherry pie filling. Place in prepared 9x13-inch cake pan. You will have to bake it longer than the package directions by about 10 to 15 minutes. Check for doneness using wooden toothpick (or butter knife). It is done when toothpick comes out clean.

While cake cools, place prepared frosting in mixing bowl. Pour in juice from maraschino cherries. Blend juice in with frosting, adding confectioners' sugar as needed to keep desired consistency. Frost cake and dot with cherries.
