CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES 
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
2 sq. (1 oz. ea.) bitter chocolate
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter together with chocolate. Set aside. Put the rest of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add chocolate mixture and mix well until smooth and slightly thickened. Put into 12 cupcake tins. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes.

Makes 1 dozen cupcakes.
