NEW YORK CHEESE CAKE 
4 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1/4 lb. butter
2 tbsp. cornstarch
5 eggs
1 (16 oz.) sour cream
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

All ingredients should be at room temperature. Cream the cream cheese, sour cream and butter until smooth. Add other ingredients except eggs. Beat until smooth, add eggs, 1 at a time. Butter a 10 inch spring form pan. Pour in batter. Set pan into a larger pan filled with water. Put spring form into water, should be about 1 inch deep. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool and refrigerate. Can be topped with pie filling.
