I'm trying this recipe for the first time. It's simple and I am hoping it is great for this Thanksgiving. I'd rate it a 5 but I'm waiting on two thumbs up from my family.

I made this cake and it was so good that I had a slice while I was icing the cake. I also added a little milk to make more of a glaze. I wish I had read the comments before I baked the cake, usually I do but not this time. I had a special from a young lady to make a lemon cake and was anxious to get started.

Is it the same time/temp if you have a fan oven? TIA

 Barb (Maine) replies:
Normally your convection/fan oven auto-adjusts the temperature down by 25 degrees in order to somewhat compensate, but rather than use convection, why not just tell it to "bake". Much better!

I am not a baker and especially from a scratch basis I found this to be so easy. I added some 7-Up to the icing to give it an extra kick. Hope the family enjoys it!
