EBBIE'S HOLIDAY CRESCENT COOKIES | |
1 cup butter 3/4 cup white granulated sugar 1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup ground almonds 3/4 cup ground dark chocolate powdered sugar, for rolling In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, and vanilla together until fluffy. Add flour, nuts and chocolate combine thoroughly. Shape rounded teaspoons of dough into small crescents (about 1 1/2 inches long). Bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheets in a 350°F oven until their edges are golden, about 15 to 17 minutes. After the cookies are finished baking, let them cool for 1 minute. While they are still warm, gently roll each cookie in a bowl of powdered sugar until coated. Place them on a rack to cool. Once cookies are completely cooled, roll them once more in powdered sugar.
