SAUSAGE, PEPPERS AND PASTA 
2 lbs. hot or mild Italian sausage, cut into 2 inch chunks
2 c. chopped onions
1 1/2 c. red peppers
1 1/2 c. green peppers
1 c. marinara sauce
1/4 tsp. dried basil
1 lb. pasta fully cooked and drained

Put sausage in 3-quart microwave-safe bowl covered. Microwave on HIGH for 1 to 9 minutes, stirring twice. Should be firm to the touch when done. Drain well.

Stir in onions, peppers, sauce and basil; cover and microwave on high 8-10 minutes, stirring once until onions and peppers are tender. Stir some cooked sauce into pasta to moisten and color. Serve sausage pepper mixture over pasta. Serves 6.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
