Canned store bought (Campbell's) chicken gumbo soup has okra, green peppers and rice in it. My mom always made sloppy joes this way. Not as sweet as the typical tomato type/barbecue recipe or canned red stuff people typically use, I guess. If I can't find a can of chicken gumbo today, I'm gonna go with some chicken rice soup and see how that plays out, lol.

Just an fyi to the author, dry mustard and prepared mustard are not one in the same. Dry mustard is a powder (finely ground mustard seeds) and Prepared Mustard has vinegar and seasonings (as one puts on burgers and the like). This recipe will be unclear to readers and could use adjustment. Thanks. Love the recipe!

Other recipes used yellow prepared mustard so that's what I'm going with when making it later today...
