MONKEY BREAD | |
2 frozen loaves bread dough 1 stick butter 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon, ground 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. nuts, optional Take frozen bread loaves and thaw for 1/2 hour. Cut loaves in two, then across in small pieces. Melt butter and dip each piece of bread dough in butter; then roll in sugars and cinnamon. Drop in Bundt pan which has been sprayed and a small amount of melted butter added to bottom with brown sugar and nuts. Let rise overnight or 4-5 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan, running knife around edge of pan. This may be made day before and reheated. Serves a bunch. |
