CROCK-POT BBQ CHICKEN WINGS | |
1 (5 lb.) bag chicken wings (split at joint, tips discarded) 2 (16 oz. ea.) bottles barbecue sauce (your favorite) 1 (12 oz.) bottle sweet chili sauce (I use FRANK'S®) 1 (12 oz.) bottle hot sauce (optional) Combine everything except for the hot sauce in a Crock-Pot. Cook on LOW for about 7 to 8 hours. Approximately 1/2 hour before serving or taking out from Crock-Pot add hot sauce (if using) and stir, then re-cover for the last half hour. When done the chicken will peel off the bone quite easily! You can discard the leftover sauce or use it as dipping sauce, whatever you prefer. Note: As for the barbecue sauces I find "Sweet Baby Ray's" works best, and I used "Tapatio" for the hot sauce. If you you don't want it spicy don't use the hot sauce, it has a lot of flavor with just the BBQ sauce and sweet chili sauce - just no spice to it. If you want it hotter add more hot sauce. Enjoy!
