I have made this twice, the first time was as the recipe is printed and then the second time I soaked the oatmeal in the milk mixture. My husband and I enjoyed the second one better. Next time I will make it with the buttermilk. Great recipe. Best whole wheat oatmeal pancakes that I have tried so far. Thanks

Is a good recipe, I used all whole wheat flour, left out all purpose, still great.

Oh yeah, soak the oats in the milk mixture... I also added raisins and a heaping teaspoon of chocolate powder... And instead of sugar, I used a small amount of honey... Perfect on low to medium heat... Never made my own pancakes before from skratchness... Love them... Peace-painterbry

I love this recipe! The best part is that my 2.5 year old picky eater (who only wants chocolate) LOVES them! He ate 5 for breakfast! :) Can't get better than that!

These were amazing! I used almond milk instead of cow's milk and added the banana, they were great. So filling too.

Like others I used Almond Milk and a whole wheat flour...awesome recipe! I also added cinnamon, ground cold milled flax seed and dried blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. Yum!

We are watching cholesterol and were looking for an alternative to the bowl of oatmeal. This is the best pancake recipe ever. We used sour milk (1 tbsp. of lemon juice per cup of milk let stand for 5 minutes) and added the baking soda. Better than any buttermilk (and healthier) than I have ever had. We used fresh frozen peaches sweetened with brown raw sugar in place of syrup... This will become a staple.

These were great! My husband said they tasted like an oatmeal cookie. Added the banana and a little cinnamon as well. I soaked the oats in the milk mixture first, but haven't tried them the other way, so not sure it made a big difference. Thanks!

Just made these pancakes and they are very good! I'd expected the texture to be a bit denser because of the oatmeal, but they are actually very light and fluffy - I guess because of the baking powder, which seemed like a lot, but it's the perfect mix! I think next time I'll add some cinnamon and honey - and probably won't need any toppings!

I loved this recipe. I did soak the oatmeal and added cinnamon. I thought they were lighter than other oatmeal pancakes I have tried. Of course, pancakes are always yummy with real maple syrup!

I followed others instruction to soak the oats, and I only used whole wheat flour as well. Great with butter, pecans and Vermont maple syrup.
