CHICKEN, SAUSAGE & WILD RICE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. pork sausage 1 lb. mushrooms, sliced 2 med. lg. onions, sliced 1 (2 1`/2 - 3 lb.) chicken, cooked, boned & cut in pieces 1 box UNCLE BEN'S® wild rice with herbs & seasoning 1/4 c. flour 1/2 c. heavy or light cream 2 1/2 c. chicken broth Salt & pepper to taste Saute sausage; set aside. Saute onions and mushrooms. Add sausage and chicken to onions and mushrooms. Cook wild rice according to directions on package. Mix flour with cream until smooth and then add to chicken broth and cook until thickened. Combine all ingredients and pour into baking dish. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 8 to 10. |
