I was in Maryland in January and had the famous Maryland Crabcakes. I returned home to California and tried this recipe and they was the best that I've ever had.

Great recipe, only thing I changed was I used baked tilapia broken up instead of the crab. Still delicious but easier on the wallet. Family loved them... Thanks!

Born and raised in Maryland, if your everywhere go to a Restaurant called G&M they have the most Awesome Crabcakes. Just before you get to Airport. Grew up eating crab cakes and can still see my Grandmother Gaynor making her Awesome Crab soup.

 Barbara Welch (South Carolina) replies:
I went to G & M before leaving Maryland to fly home and I have to say I was very, very disappointed. This is not the place it's cracked up to be. Poor service and rude wait staff. Coming from S. Carolina where we too have great seafood the crab cakes were nothing to write home about. I have made many crab cake dishes and none that G&M had compares to my homemade recipe crab cakes. That recipe I will not share because (I'm known for my crab cakes and seafood gumbo) I have a method that makes the crab cakes melt in your mouth and is very low carb and never, ever greasy!!!
